I think we should all be aware of recent changes in the flood plain in our area. Visit the map and check the area you are buying or building a home in. Not all builders and realtors are informed of the current flood plane maps. Not all areas that flooded during the past heavy rains are in flood plain areas. No one is able to guarantee that areas not listed will or will not flood again.
