Frame & Pre-Sheetrock Inspections
A frame and pre-sheetrock inspection gives buyers an opportunity to have their new home independently inspected before the walls and ceilings are covered. At this stage, Brad can examine accessible framing, structural components, plumbing and electrical rough-ins, and other visible construction details that may be concealed once drywall is installed.

An inspection before drywall installation provides a closer look at construction details that will soon be hidden from view.

When to schedule
After framing and rough-ins, before insulation and drywall.
What Brad examines
Accessible framing, stairs, wiring protection, plumbing, HVAC rough-ins, and exterior moisture protection. The inspection documents visible, accessible conditions at the time of the visit; scope depends on construction stage and access.
Put the findings to work
Coordinate the inspection window with your builder so work does not conceal accessible components.
Request an inspectionAlready Had Your Foundation Poured?
Many new-home buyers don't realize they can schedule independent inspections during construction until after the foundation has been poured.
Although the concrete now conceals reinforcement and other embedded components, Brad can still examine accessible portions of the foundation for visible concerns.
As part of his frame and pre-sheetrock inspection, Brad also generally takes foundation elevation measurements to evaluate variations across accessible areas of the slab.
These measurements provide additional information about the foundation's condition at the time of inspection. They do not, by themselves, establish whether a foundation is structurally sound.
Brad also examines accessible framing connections, plumbing and electrical rough-ins, and other construction details before walls and ceilings are covered.
A pre-sheetrock inspection provides another valuable opportunity to identify concerns while corrections may be easier to make.
